Hulla..I am Nor Hidayati bt Mokhtar, and proud to say that I am a Malay gurl who is now studying in UiTM, the institution for bumiputera and taking Degree in Mass Comm Journalism.
Why Journalism? This is basically the same question being asked by the interviewer during the pre-entering term. i answered becoz i love karam singh walia..haha! at that time i didnt know that karam singh is a broadcast journalist. i was so shallow of knowledge, until now.
what did i mean taking journalism as my chosen career ( in future) was that i wanna share my deeps and thoughts through writing. only writing shines me at best. all my life then i was always a political obsessor. hearing what my dad has been telling me since kids make me think deep upon what Malaysia is all about.
That's why I wanna be so much a journalist, where I can always contribute news coverage to the people. what do i worry now is that i lost somewhere in my own reflections. i am so in love to become journalist but what do i have in my knowledge is very very far more than not enough...ahakz... however through the course fulfillment and subject outline I am sure that i will become a good journalist. Yeah! UiTm di hatiku!

Why I name this blog Astray as I am, Liberally Deviance is that Astray stands for my name. when my name is meant 'the light of path' i dont feel like deserve it. so I choose Astray to symbolize myself, strayed from the expected behavior everybody been hoping me to be. Liberally Deviance, as I am a deviance, have to admit it. some are born with the talent, some are not, but both of them are special on their own way. Like in Merton's Theory in Sociology study, nobody is deviance until someone tell him he is. who are us to judge others then? just accept that deviance is only a part of being a human being. The word 'liberal' I found very catchy as this is a blog, and a blog is supposed to be liberal. right?
Why this blog url is liberalism hater is that I hate too much liberty. As it is what Malaysia is made today, and part of the world as well. Too much liberal, too much consider, too much destruction. And that is what extreme liberty contributes. Liberal is a must but not too much, as what I have been through has taught me so much of a wrong liberty.
anyway, hate US and ISRAEL, boycott their products!
