Up Up and Away: Dato Sahol marked the launching of the new look for UiTM busses with the flying papermade planes with children from UiTM Kindergarten.

SHAH ALAM: Pleasant look, great seats and conducive rides.

Take a tour around UiTM Shah Alam campus on the brand new look busses and it worth the try.

With the combination of bluish purple and yellow color, two LCD screens television, red carpet and soft curtains marked the rebranding image of the main transport in Shah Alam campus.

“The novelty in terms of look and design is the outcome of innovation in our research,” said Vice Chancellor of UiTM, Dato’ Prof Ir Dr Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar.

According to him, the new design was initially a brainchild from Research Management Institute of UiTM and was commercialized through the Masdef (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.

“This new design would also be proudly used in promoting Mengubah Destini Anak Bangsa (Changing the Nation’s Destiny) program,” he added.

Sahol spoke during the double event of launching the new image for UiTM busses and the promotion for Mengubah Destini Anak Bangsa (Changing the Nation’s Destiny) program.

72 units of busses shall be operating all across UiTM campuses in Peninsular Malaysia, 58 ready while 14 are still under manufacturing process in Puchong.

During the launching in the university’s new convention hall on January 17th, Sahol cut the ribbon that was tied across the front door as symbol for the brand new image.

The event was also attended by Masdef (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. Chaiman, Tan Seri Dato’ Seri Mohd Saleh Sulong.
